Progress discussion!

We're about halfway through the writing phase, so how is everyone going? Are you onto your fifteenth treat or still searching for inspiration for your assignment? Or are these characters flat out refusing to kiss and it's really annoying?

Feel free to vent or boast, but remember that we're still anonymous so please do so in a way that doesn't reveal what you are writing or for whom!

My assignment is posted and I've finished one treat (but still need to go back and edit it).

I've been through the requests a few times looking for inspiration on additional treats, but nothing has jumped out yet.

I'd say I'm about 50% done. I want to write treats, I love all these characters and I'm excited about these stories. So why am I lagging so much? Because I procrastinate like you wouldn't believe /o\

I've firmly decided to do better and get the stories ready for beta till the end of the week. Let's see how it goes, heh.

I got a bit carried away and my story is currently 2/3rds done and at 7k words. ^^; I'll probably get it done by this week though, as I need the next week to work on the pinch hit I've picked up. I have my eye on another prompt for a treat, but I'm not sure we'll have time. How long do we have to post treats?

There's no deadline for treats! That said, you'll get more eyes on your treats if you have them in by the time the archive reveals on the 14th.

Assignment is done, and I'm pleased about that. I suppose I'll give it another read-through closer to deadline, just in case there are any typos that I missed, but for the most part - it's done.

And now I'm all about treats! I have a long one that I was drafting by hand, still need to type it up. Though I'm happy with it, it's going to need a lot of revising - there are some canon details that I missed on the first go.

Hopefully there will be some time to write small treats, too. A lot of people requested pairs that I like to write, but I'm having trouble coming up with good ideas, hmm.

My assignment is with a beta, I'm halfway through canon review for one treat and I'm thinking about what to write for two more. I'm determined to write three treats in addition to treats for my recipient, though I'm going to have to get a move on if I plan to do that!

I have written N gifts for my recipient (where N is at least one but less than ten). I have written 44 words of a treat for someone else. I have a vague idea for a treat for another someone else.

I've got my assignment and a treat finished, have another treat almost finished and a whole bunch more treats planned. I'm so happy so many people requested pairs I love!

I've finished writing my assignment (still needs editing), so now I'm considering writing another of my recipient's prompts, and also looking at possible treats. :)

I am nervous about the fandom(s) I could write for my assignment. I mean, at least there's more than one of them, that's good...

I was super excited about my assignment (had even hoped for it when I was looking at the prompts prior to assignments going out) but now that I've got the assignment my characters just won't cooperate. I've opened up Word about five or six times in order to write and I just leave it open for a while and closed it out not writing a single word.

I only just got through real-life commitments that demanded my time for pretty much the entire month up to now. I was finally ready to regroup and dive into my assignment... and then *pow*, headcold. *sigh*

The upside is that I do know exactly what I'll be doing with my assignment. I'll be powering through it soon. ...It just may be under the influence of meds.

I think I have a workable gift for my recip, and possibly another treat for them/bonus scene for the first gift. Not sure how to order them relative to each other, though, and whether they make more sense as separate fics or parts of the same one.

I've posted two Treats in the enthusiasm of the first week after assignments got sent out. PROGRESS YAY

My actual assignment, however, is still... going. Working? I need a better word to explain what it's doing. I have the plot nailed down, but the style I chose to write it in, while faithful to canon, may not be the most practical or easy to write well.

Apart from that, I have another extra story or two in the works...

Still puttering on my assignment. It can be a little hard to choose a pairing when you've got a recipient who has so many that you know and can do. :-) This is not a bad problem to have.

I had several ideas that I tried (because I just have to try each idea if I want to focus on the eventual one ;; fun but stressful), and now I think I finally am able to finish my assignment :D little time left, which is scary, which is exciting sort of, so \o/
