Welcome to Chocolate Box, a low pressure, low commitment multifandom gift exchange run on A03. For 2015-2016 the AO3 community can be found here.

The schedule for this year is:
Nominations: 20 - 29 December
Signups: 1-7 January
Assignments go out: by 10 January
Posting deadline: 7 February
Story reveal: 14 February
Author reveal: 21 February

If anyone is art-inclined and can make a banner, please email me at chocolateboxmod[at]gmail so we can discuss a banner for advertising. Otherwise, I look forward to opening nominations on the 20th!

Thank you for this! Looks like it may be quite a lot of fun.

Just one note: on the AO3 schedule, it says the sign-up opens on December 20 and closes on December 29, instead of that being the nominations as you've listed here. I assume this is correct here?

Hi! Will you be releasing the requests summary fairly soon after assignments go out, or should treaters focus on the Dear Writer letters?

My current plan is for all requests to be visible throughout signups. I'm open to being convinced otherwise, of course, but I figured that being able to see the requests would make it easier for people to decide what to offer.

Quick question, what's the process for treats?

Treats are uploaded into the same collection as assignments, as the word limit is so low for Chocolate Box. They won't become the person's assignment.

Pinch hits will be posted in the comm! More information about pinch hits (along with treats etc) will go up once signups close, so as to minimise the risk of information overload.

Hi! I wanted to sign up, but missed the window -- would I still be allowed to write Treats? I read the FAQs, so I know how to post, but I don't know that I'd be allowed to join in so late? Thank you!

Absolutely! The more the merrier, especially when it comes to additional gifts.

You are allowed to start at any time! The archive will close on the 14th of February, but that's for reveals. Any time between now and then you're good to go!
