In canon, Michael has been blown up, tortured, brainwashed and drugged into attempting to kill his superior, all within the span of three years. That's got to leave a few demons, particularly ones that he's really not in a position where he can admit to them. PTSD? Nightmares? Perhaps some seriously unhealthy coping mechanisms? Caitlin's been through some things herself, including having a bomb strapped to her. I could easily see her picking up on there being something wrong with Michael. I'd love any sort of take on that, from a gen version up to and including kink (bondage, blood play, pain play?)

If that's not your thing, how about some sort of fix-it fic for the way Michael is “transferred” and Caitlin simply disappears at the end of the third season? Any rating is fine.

Unless you happen to live in the WFSB broadcast area, you're probably not here for this fandom. However, on the chance that you are, or that you signed up for one of my other fandoms and would rather write something different, I'll give you a bit of back story.

Scot and Nicole are the morning weatherman and traffic/news reporter from WFSB, and they are both Characters, especially Scot. Perhaps what's why I got such a kick out of this video. It was made several years ago, at least in part to advertise WFSB's holiday light display.

I would love nearly anything for this video. What's the relationship between these two? (I'm going to refer to them as Scot and Nicole for convenience, but feel free to give then any names you'd like, or no names at all if you'd prefer.) Are they former boyfriend/girlfriend? She's wearing a ring, what does that mean? Is there a reason why the handset of Nicole's phone isn't connected to the base, and the base not connected to the phone jack? Why are their loose branches in the tree that Scot is pulling out? Why is he wandering around the hardware store dragging a shovel when there's no snow? Why does he throw leaves at her, and why does she walk into the door? Go wild!

Denny and TOS: Through one of the usual Trek plot devices (transporter malfunction, temporal abnormality, meddling by a superior life form, etc.) Denny Crane and Kirk swap places. I'd really love it if Denny had to pretend to be Kirk in front of the Klingons. If you'd also like to include something about how Kirk was getting along with Alan Shore back in Boston, that would be great, but I'm mainly interested in Denny on the Enterprise.

Rodney & Sheldon: What I really want is to see is Sheldon on Atlantis, preferably arguing with McKay, but I'd be very happy with you including any of the other TBBT regulars, or any other SGA people. Put Sheldon in the lab, checking McKay's work, or put him on a gate team (where he would undoubtedly complain more than McKay), or whatever works for you.

Prefer canon pairings (if any) for TBBT, anything goes with SGA.

Rodney & Castle: Castle has the ancient gene and gets recruited to Atlantis, where of course he goes around touching things with unpredictable results. If you're at a loss for a way to set this up, perhaps Kate Beckett's uncle Carson visits, and Castle activates some piece of equipment he has with him? Kate might accompany him to Atlantis as a “handler” in hopes of keeping him in check.

Feel free to set a story either before or after Castle and Beckett become a couple. Also, add any background pairings from SGA that you prefer.

Sam Wyndham - Abir Mukherjee
Sam Wyndham/Surenandrath "Surrender-not" Banerjee (Sam Wyndham - Abir Mukherjee), Fanfiction

I finished this series recently and I really love it. Set in 1910s-1920s India it's a massively immersive and interesting series of books. I love the sense of atmosphere, I love the interesting mystery plots and I absolutely love the characters. This is just really gripping from start to finish, really well done and compelling in many ways, and I'd absolutely love to see more of it.

Sam Wyndham/Surenandrath "Surrender-not" Banerjee - I really ship these two, and have done since about book 2. I love how Sam is so cynical and jaded, but has a really sharp sense of justice that's just really encouraged by Surrender-not. I also love how Surrender-not is really innocent and a bit naive in a lot of ways, but is also really smart and slightly devious and openly encouraged in both of these things by Sam.

I just really love them! They shouldn't be close, they shouldn't really like each other at all, but they just have this really firm bond that's stood up against so many things. I love the loyalty between them, I love the fact that they're able to laugh with each other and I love that they have each other's backs even when the situation is fraught. I'd love to see more of them.

Blake & Avery Series - M. J. Carter

This is one of my favourite series of books, and if you’ve read it I’m sure you know why. Interesting plots, wonderful diversity, Historical accuracy AND a relationship between the two main characters so endearing that I had to keep putting my copy of the book down to clutch my face with glee. Truly, a dangerous combination.

As you can probably guess, what I want most in this fandom is fic exploring the relationship between Blake and Avery even further. I loved their dynamic in the book, and I really want to see more of it. Especially in a romantic sense. I feel that there’s a hell of a lot of potential for a really interesting romantic relationship there, and I’d absolutely love to see somebody explore that!

My stance on infidelity here is that, while I'd rather it not be a thing, I can understand how it could be difficult to avoid and don't want you to tie yourself up in knots over it! I'd prefer it to be stated/heavily implied polyamory (in that Helen is fine with it) or even something where Helen just doesn't appear, but as long as it isn't 1000 odd words of Avery angsting over/reveling in cheating on his wife I should be beyond fine!

Stanton & Barling - E.M. Powell

This is obscure even for me, but I LOVE IT SO MUCH. This is a (so far) two book mystery series set in the reign of Henry II, and I just really love every single part of it. The writing is excellent, the mysteries are really interesting (especially the one in book 2) and I just absolutely ADORE the characters. It's a really interesting, really fun, really diverse series that I absolutely love and I would be so excited to get fic for it.

Aelred Barling/Hugo Stanton - A big part of why I love this series so much is these two. I love these two SO MUCH. They're absolutely adorable. Barling is a stuffy clerk who is a bit of a snob all things considered, but has a heart of gold underneath and a really strong commitment to justice (and is also canonically gay, which is nice for detective fiction). Stanton is a bit irresponsible and tends to be reckless, but is super loyal to those he loves and super understanding in so many ways.

Together they're absolutely wonderful and I adore them. I love how they banter with each other, I love the quickly growing trust between them and I especially love how they're so very loyal to each other. They truly care about each other, truly regard each other as important and aren't shy about showing it, and I'd absolutely love to see more of their dynamic.

Frey & McGray Series - Oscar de Muriel

I first picked up this series this year, and ended up reading all the books within a month. This was unprecedented for me, as while I usually read a lot I tend to be a bit of a butterfly when it comes to reading through a series. I just found these books so incredibly gripping. The cases are really interesting, the setting (with its slightest edge of paranormal stuff) is excellent and I just really love all the characters.

Ian Frey/Adolphus "Nine-Nails" McGray - Frey took a while to grow on me, but by the second book I absolutely loved every terrible bit of him. He's just SUCH a jerk. He's mean, and he's a snob, and he's far too fussy for his own good, and he's so up himself that it's hilarious. He basically always believes that he's right, but gets contradicted in that belief constantly. I really love what a grump he can be, and I also really love that there's a small kernel of a good person deep within him. McGray is just such a woobie, but a really interesting one who is still kind of a jerk himself. He's an overly violent, fairly loud, incredibly reckless individual... Who has lost everything he ever loved, and still somehow manages to be both compassionate and functional. I really love the sheer force of his character, and I also love the depth of him.

They just have a dynamic that's absolute catnip to me. They're a historical detective duo, they're forced into close proximity to each other while solving cases, they have a certain amount of loyalty to each other... But at the same time they have an interesting amount of hostility between them, a large amount of mistrust and a lot of things to work through. They obviously care about each other a little while still finding each other incredibly difficult, and I'd LOVE to see more of that.

Ian Frey/Adolphus "Nine-Nails" McGray/Caroline Ardglass - I've casually shipped these three since the first book, and started actively shipping them around the time of the second book. I just think they'd be really interesting (and funny) together! Frey is a stuck up jerk with a surprising amount of heart, McGray is an overly impulsive jerk who has a surprising core of kindness and Caroline is a spiky jerk who has a surprising level of loyalty to those she truly loves. I think the combination of all of them together would really piss everybody around them off, and would also lead to all of them having a better time in general!

Benjamin January (Benjamin January - Barabra Hambly) & Jeremiah Blake (Blake & Avery - MJ Carter); Benjamin January (Benjamin January - Barabra Hambly)/Jeremiah Blake (Blake & Avery - MJ Carter) - The Blake & Avery series is one of my favourite series of books, and if you’ve read it I’m sure you know why. Truly, a dangerous combination.

I've only recently started reading the Benjamin January series, but already I really love it. I adore the vivid sense of setting, I'm fascinated by the mysteries and I LOVE the characters in it. It's just a really amazingly immersive series, and I can't help but get lost in it every single time I pick it up.

Both of these series happen in the 1830s-1840s, and that got me thinking what it'd be like if they crossed over. I'm especially interested in Blake and January meeting. They're similar characters, and I think their dynamic (either romantic or platonic) could be really interesting: they're both very world weary, they both have a great sense of justice and they both have a lot of experience. I'd be really interested in seeing that explored!

I'm fine if you combine my prompts for this with my Blake & Avery prompts above, or write it stand alone. I'm also fine if you want to add in any Benjamin January ships, I particularly ship Ben/Shaw and Ben/Hannibal, but would prefer it to be set before Ben and Rose get together (or in an AU where they never get together) to avoid my infidelity DNW.

Charlotte Lancaster (Rescued from Ruin) & Amy Mowbray (Dashing Widows) - Rescued from Ruin is, against all odds, one of my favourite romance series. It isn't an objectively great one, but I just find it so incredibly enjoyable. The romances are sweet and heartfelt, I like the edge of danger throughout and some of the characters are absolutely amazing. Out of all of them, Charlotte is probably my favourite in the entire series. She's just so sensible! So sensible, and smart, and slightly ruthless and basically everything I want from a romance novel heroine.

Dashing Widows is another romance series that objectively isn't that great, but that I find myself enjoying regardless. It's all about second chances, and brave people overcoming things, and is really heartwarming. By far my favourite character in it, though, is Amy Mowbray. I love her! She's just really logical, incredibly sensible and with this wonderful lack of interest in drama.

I've requested this crossover because I'd love to see these two being all logical and sensible and slightly ruthless with each other. They both live in the regency (As do most people in historical romances, tbh) and I'd love to see a universe where they get to meet. They're both so incredibly level headed, and I'd love to see a friendship form between them!

Vampire Babylon - Chris Marie Green

I looooooove this stupid kinky fandom. I'm not really expecting us to match on this one, but I just love everything about these books. They're high drama romance novels involving vampires, which should be something that attracts severe side eye, but they're just really enjoyable! Great worldbuilding, absolutely fantastic characters and so much room for porny interpretations. I'd definitely recommend them to anybody who likes vampires and villains.

Benedikte/Costin - I've lowkey shipped these two since I first read the books, and as my shipping of them grows so does my desire to see fic for them. I'm just really interested in how they were such good friends before becoming vampires, and how deep that bond was between them. Costin states within the books that they were basically brothers even before they became vampires, and I can easily see that closeness developing into something more. I'd like to see a happier ending for them, especially Benedikte, and I'd also really love to see how that changes the universe around them.

Claudius/Dawn Madison - This is another pairing where I just really love the interplay between them, especially in the bits where Claudius is being kept prisoner. I love the darkness within Dawn, and the way that Claudius mirrors that. I love how they both have such complex lives, and quite obviously find a mirror of those lives in each other. And I love how they both canonically get off on pain, and recognize that in each other. Anything exploring the darkness between them and how they react to finding that in each other would be wonderful!

Dawn Madison & Della Bennett - Dawn mused about wanting a little sister in the second trilogy, and coupled with her interactions with Della later on this made me really curious about these two. I think more of them together would be really interesting! They both have a lot of rage, but Dawn has more experience while Della has a more level head. A more in depth look at them would be great!

Dawn Madison & The Dragon - I'm very interested in the potential relationship between Dawn and the Dragon. This has fascinating enough roots in canon, she kills him and then he basically possesses her after the fact, but it also has really interesting areas that could be expanded upon. It's commented on multiple times how Dawn is becoming just like the Dragon, taking too much genuine pleasure in blood letting and fury. I was a little disappointed, especially considering the whole possession situation, that the books didn't go further with this dynamic and instead finished in a place where the Dragon seemed to be largely defeated. I'd love to see an expansion of this dynamic, and an exploration of one of the many alternate paths this could've taken.

Sorin/Eva Claremont - I've shipped these two casually for a few years now, but haven't ever requested them before. I just think that they'd be quite interesting together! They're both smart (even though Eva takes pains to hide it), both fairly ambitious and both have a similar commitment to family. They also have to spend a lot of time with each other, and seem to have some sort of connection before all the shit in the books goes down. I'd be really interested in seeing more of them together!

Byrne and Balzano Series - Richard Montanari

I really adore this book series. They're a fairly trashy set of crime novels, but really shine when they focus more on character interactions and development. What I really love about this series is how well drawn all of the figures within them are. They all have their own relationships and motivations, and I would love to see something as vividly characterized - and preferably as vividly trashy - as the books themselves.

Jessica Balzano/Kevin Byrne - I love these two together! It would've been so easy to just have another warring detectives storyline, with the brash new woman having to prove herself to the older male cop who she's been partnered with, but instead these two just genuinely seem to like each other from the start and it's really endearing. I love the bond they have with each other, I love how they tease each other and I love how supportive they both are of each other even when it gets tough.

As a side note, infidelity is one of my squicks. But I also really hate Vincent, Jessica's husband! So, uh, feel free to deal with him in whatever way you want. As long as explicit infidelity (AKA 1000-odd words of Jessica angsting about/reveling in cheating on him) is avoided, I'll probably be fine with it.

Kevin Byrne/Mr. Marseille - I'm not really expecting to get this, because one half of the pairing is a child murderer who appears for half of one of the later books in the series (Book 8: The Doll Maker), but hope springs eternal!

I really loved the dynamic between these two in a totally unexpected way. Mr. Marseille is probably the best villain in the series , creepy and super intelligent and charismatic and driven (in a way that'd be really impressive if he wasn't driven to murder a lot of people), and the push and pull in his dynamic with Byrne just makes him better. I love how they watch each other, how they're aware of each other even before Byrne realizes that he's a murderer. I love Mr. Marseille's strange fascination with Byrne. And I LOVE the way they talk to each other, the wonderfully sinister conversations like they're absolutely on each other's level. This is a strange one, but I'd absolutely love to receive it.

Cadfael Chronicles - Ellis Peters

I really enjoy the Cadfael Chronicles. They're just an incredible amount of fun. They're the perfect mixture of complex mystery paired with just a really reassuring tone/portrayal of the world, and they're the perfect comfort read for a rainy day. I really love the historical setting, I really love the crimes that they have to solve and I especially love the characters and the interactions between them.

Brother Cadfael/Hugh Beringar - I just love them both so much! I love how Cadfael is so smart, but is also always so kind and knows a lot more about the way of the world than pretty much everybody around him. I love how Hugh is incredibly cunning and a touch ruthless, but is also really loyal to those he cares about and willing to bend the rules just a little if it means protecting people. I find their friendship really interesting, the way they balance each other and seem to genuinely adore each other despite all the differences between them, and I'd love to perhaps see an expansion of that.

My stance on infidelity here is, again, that while I'd rather it not be a thing, I can understand how it could be difficult to avoid and don't want you to tie yourself up in knots over it! I'd prefer it to be stated/heavily implied polyamory (in that Aline is fine with it) or even just something where Aline doesn't appear/never got together with Hugh, but as long as it isn't 1000 odd words of Hugh angsting over/reveling in cheating on his wife I should be beyond fine! I'd also prefer fairly minimal to non-existent religious angst about whether wanting to have sex with another man in the middle ages is a sin or not.

Grubbs Grady/Lord Loss, Grubbs Grady/Kernel Fleck/Bec, Grubbs Grady/Kernel Fleck/Bec/Lord Loss, Kernel Fleck/Lord Loss, Bec/Lord Loss, Fanfiction

The Demonata is one of my favourite book series ever, and probably where my penchant for getting into tiny book fandoms started. It's a really dark story at several parts, whenever the Demonata pop up to be specific, but also contains really compelling characters and plots that keep me interested even when the grimness would otherwise drive me away. It's definitely a horror, but also contains some really interesting fantasy elements and a fascinating approach to magic. It also seems to have a really cast iron tone/moral of hope even on the darkest day, which has always appealed to me. Anything that appreciates the darkness of the setting, while also focusing on hope spots, would be great!

Bec/Lord Loss - These two have such an interesting relationship to me. Bec quite obviously hates him, he actually killed her at one point and was also responsible for the deaths of a good chunk of the people she cares about, but also seems quite content to work with him in a relatively cordial manner. I really like how they're sort of equals (in a way that they very rarely manage with any of the other characters), and how they're both intelligent enough to set aside their differences to achieve common goals.

Grubbs/Lord Loss - These two absolutely LOATHE each other, and for very good reason. Their antagonistic relationship, and the development of it, is quite possibly the core of the books. I really enjoy how these two interact, and how dedicated they are to ruining each other's lives. They're basically obsessed with each other throughout the series, and I'm sure that could lead to some absolutely fascinating fic exploring the tension within their relationship and just how it develops!

Kernel/Lord Loss - These two are interesting, in that they kind of inhabit a midpoint between Bec and Lord Loss' relationship and Grubbs and Lord Loss' relationship. They don't exactly like each other for huge chunks of time, Kernel steals Lord Loss' familiar and Lord Loss later basically destroys his life in retaliation for this, but they're also able to interact without immediate murder attempts. They don't quite have the cautious respect that Bec and Lord Loss have by the end, but they also don't have the outright antagonism that Grubbs and Lord Loss have. They're both relatively smart characters, and also relatively aware characters. Not to mention that Kernel is probably the most diplomatic member of the Kah-Gash, and would probably have a slightly different viewpoint on interacting with Lord Loss in the future.

Bec/Grubbs/Kernel/Lord Loss- I cannot quite describe how into the idea of a cosmic horror foursome I would be. At the end of the books these four are basically the last sentient beings around (at least for a few billion years) and I'd love to see how their relationship developed from there. It could go in so many interesting directions! And I'd be thrilled with ALL OF THEM.

 

Grubbs Grady/Kernel Fleck/Bec - While I ship the cosmic horror foursome intensely I also ship the cosmic horror threesome (also known as the Kah Gash) pretty firmly too. I just really love all of them, and would've loved to see more of them working together. Grubbs is so loyal but with a really ruthless and pragmatic edge, Kernel is smart and good hearted in some ways but really cynical in others, and Bec is just the ultimate survivor. I'd really love to see more of them working together, and forming a romance!

These movies are utter crack, the characters aren't the best developed, and the plots don't even pretend to make scientific sense, but I watched them all for the cameos and the hilarity and the continual one-upping of the wacky and was not in the least disappointed. Give me anything in the spirit of the series, and I will be thrilled.
You can go wild with this one; because after what happened in the sixth movie, it's not like canon is all that solid! A different divergent AU, or time travel shenanigans, or dumping into crossover universes, if you like them too - virtually anything on my AO3 page is fair game.

I'd love to see these relationships - either the OT3 or just Fin/Nova - getting together at any point during the series or a divergent AU, with wacky shark action as the backdrop. Fin really seemed into the idea of Nova handling weapons - it's mentioned more than once! - and she certainly had an obvious crush on him, so what if, say, April's boyfriend from the first movie had survived, and Fin/Nova got together instead? Or that scene near the end of Movie 5 when Fin+Nova+April are all huddled together declaring each other to be family - that really made me want to see what would happen if the three of them stuck together earlier rather than Nova running off to start the Sharknado Sisterhood alone. After-action porny character development could be a lot of fun in this 'verse, set at any point in the series. Or any other setup you can think of. Just have fun with it. :)

I really felt cheated by both Rachel's and Tex's fates on the show, particularly the way they were used to add to Tom's epic manpain. They were definitely the two characters I felt were closest to him - something I was strongly reminded of during the flashbacks at the end of Season 5. Give me something where Rachel survives, or Tex does, or both. Maybe they only *said* she was dead while she was secretly recovering out at Tex's place in Season 3? Maybe they got together then? Or maybe Tom knew - or maybe he didn't! - and he found out later, and Rachel came back to him? Or maybe it was Tex who stayed by Tom's side to the end, as one of the few folks in his inner circle who wasn't in his chain of command?

Or go wackier with it - what if the explosion at the end of season 5 involved some kind of experimental tech, and Tom was flung through time, and met either one of them again for the second first time? Or what if the Red Rust wasn't a plant-eating disease, but some sudden weird soulmark virus? This is a scifi show; feel free to do whatever comes into your head to get any of these pairings together - or even OT3 them, if you want to go there; that relationship wasn't nominated, but I could roll with it, too.

So I may or may not have an enduring attachment to Nathan Fillion; so I gave this new cop show a chance. And was more charmed by it than I expected. I've seen up through episode 7, but I don't mind if you spoil future episodes, or if the fic is jossed by further unfolding events - just have fun with it.

I'm not a huge fan of John/Lucy for all the reasons the show itself has already addressed - but I was charmed by the John-Jackson-Lucy friendly dynamic, and would be very interested in some of their antics while at the Academy together! Or - more of what we see in the show, being supportive of each other through the stressful times as they learn to be cops, or just hanging out outside of work, or whatever!

Or John/his landlord slash old friend Ben: this one's sort of cracky, because we really don't know much about him yet or how he and John became friends, but the minute they introduced him I got the vibe that he *really* wanted John to be happy. And I wondered just how much! So what if he's been pining for John for years, and John finally catches a clue? [Please have him already/still broken up with Lucy if you go there.]

I've always been a sucker for the whole Papa Wolf/Badass and Child trope in action movies, and also Battle Couple type tropes, so the second Reacher movie was pretty much made for me. And yet there's almost no fic for it! So.

Samantha Dutton & Jack Reacher: I love the fact that she turns out not to be his actual kid, and yet it doesn't derail their bond at all. After Sam slips Reacher the phone - do they stay in contact? Does she gripe to him about her classes? Does he send her cryptic little texts about the various places he's passed through, and she ends up sketching maps and scenery from bus windows and things as she tracks him across the country? Or... maybe he tracks down who Sam's actual father is and there's some kind of issue that ends up bringing them back together.

Jack Reacher/Susan Turner: Reacher is such an independent, focused, self-contained badass, while Major Susan Turner is a tough attractive woman used to fighting for every scrap of respect she can get; I loved that the movie let them butt heads over the planning but didn't just throw them into bed together to work it out. They're clearly into each other, and have a lot of shared frame of reference; but just as clearly have some adjustments to do if they want that spark to go anywhere. Does Reacher keep calling her from the road, the way he did before? Do they plan further dates-- and do they also get derailed by his seeming magnetic attraction to trouble? Or... how exactly much time passed between that last action scene at the airport and Reacher moving on again, because surely there was travel and healing and clean-up-the-legalities time involved, and did they manage to hook up during that period? I would totally enjoy that story, or indeed any story about them appreciating each other and being badasses separately and together.

I really enjoy the whole aesthetic of the John Wick movies; all the worldbuilding, John being reluctant to get dragged back into the life but still supremely badass with it, his complicated relationships with the others in that world, the fact that he *did* try for a normal life even if it ended roughly, the works. So - did he know Eliot during the latter's Moreau-era hitter days? Or Reese, when he was in the CIA? Might he reach out to Eliot after the events of the second movie, for backup or a safe place to rest between fights? Or what if his number comes up at any point during the movies, and Reese gets mixed up in the plot? Action or downtime or even a little slashiness are good for me, for this request. :)
