Since it looks like Agent Carter and Daredevil have been approved as fandoms, does this mean the MCU TV shows should be nominated as separate shows, including the individual Netflix Defenders shows like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, etc?

Not the nominator, but no, he doesn't, he is only referred to and, if memory serves, is shown briefly in a flashback (from Cap1) in the first episode. This should probably go under MCU since both characters appear there?

Not the nominator either, but he does appear in the opening scenes via flashback, and one of Starks plot points is about being obsessed with finding him. I could see this fitting better with AC than MCU.

Hi! It looks like there are a lot of duplicate relationship tags in Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, since:

a) the movie is new and no ship tags have been canonized yet (so for example, May Parker/Olivia Octavius is in there twice as "May Parker/Olivia Octavius" and "Olivia Octavius/May Parker";

b) some nominators abbreviated the canon as "SM:itS" in their parenthetical while some wrote it out as "Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse", so there have been several duplicate nominations approved.

This isn't something that requires immediate attention but it will probably cause problems for matching, and I wanted to make sure it was on your radar! :) Thanks for doing everything you do.

Power Rangers

The Power Rangers TV show is all in continuity with each other. There is an ongoing narrative that goes from Mighty Morphin', Alien Rangers, Zeo, Turbo, and ends in In Space. Lost Galaxy is heavily impacted by the events of past seasons up to the point that their pink ranger dies and is replaced by the previous season's redeemed big bad. Zeo, In Space, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, Wild Force, Dino Thunder, and SPD all feature a team up with a previous season's team. Mystic Force's big good the Magic Mother is a redeemed Rita Repulsa from the Mighty Morphin-In Space era. Wild Force brings back all previous red rangers except Rocky. Operation Overdrive brings back a team of five different rangers each from a different season. Bulk is brought back as a character in Samurai along with Spike, who is supposed to be the son of Skull from earlier seasons. Clash of the Red Rangers establishes that there is a multiverse. The powers of the second half of Megaforce are basically using all the powers of the previous seasons and culminates in a battle with every single Power Ranger from the history of the franchise participating, with the red rangers from Samurai and Jungle Fury providing some guidance to the team. Ninja Steel brings back assorted rangers from throughout the history of the franchise to fight off an invading army from another dimension.

Power Rangers isn't like Super Sentai with having each season being its own universe. It's a shared, ongoing universe with a lot of history and built up mythology. Stuff like the morphing grid doesn't have to be answered each season because it had already been established in previous seasons.

Power Ranges is a much more integrated storyline, and it set out to do that, but Gokaiger established that Super Sentai is also part of a shared universe (the whole season was about a quest to collect the powers of the previous Sentai teams all the way back to JAKQ). Plus, Super Sentai usually does a crossover movie with the previous and/or next Sentai team (of varying canonical status, I understand).

The two of them are pretty interlinked, but I personally think it would be better to have the Power Rangers shows separated in the same way that Super Sentai is separated for cleanliness of tags and making sure the works get filed in the right places so that fans can find them easily. Maybe there's a canonical AMT for Power Rangers that could also be appended after the exchange?

Disney Princesses is like Super Sentai - an overarching franchise name in relation to specific movies, so anything nominated on that department should probably be moved down to its specific movie or over into Crossovers. That would probably make it less visible.

I am fine with Hockey RPF combining both Men's and Women's Hockey. That's how the fandom has been treated historically in exchanges.

I am wondering why the Marvel Netflix shows are not combined into one fandom? Has there been a definite mod decision to break them out into six different shows? They have a lot of crossover characters.

What's the policy on Rule 63 nominations - say, I don't know, Female Victor Nikiforov/Female Katsuki Yuuri or Marguerite St. Just/Female Percy Blakeney? Is that more like a "yes" under the principle that gender is an important organizing principle on AO3 and something that you can specify in Original Work noms, or more like a "no" to avoid tussling over whether or not Omega Victor Nikiforov or Barista Percy Blakeney are separate nominations?

(a)What should that title be? (Note: The Defenders is not an eligible title as it is the canonical tag for a particular series and this will cause problems on our end.)
(b) What shows should be merged to this tag?

If "Defenders" isn't an eligible title, then no, they should not be merged. I vote for individual titles, i.e.. "The Punisher," "Agent Carter," "Daredevil," etc.

I prefer an overarching Stargate fandom, because so many characters are shared between SG-1 and Atlantis. But I'm not too bothered if it's separated. (When I saw SG-1 approved by itself, I just changed my nom to Atlantis and took out the one that involved SG-1 characters, but I can switch back too.)

Hi, I'm the other Street Fighter nominator. I nominated Ryu/Ken under Street Fighter II Movie (1994) and that's how I'd like it to remain ("Street Fighter II Movie" is the actual title of the movie). I honestly wouldn't be sure which movies were meant by Street Fighter the movie (movies) -- or which Vega, for that matter.

Also, while I'm commenting anyway, under The Expendables (Movies) is the tag Huntsman | Woodcutter/Little Red Riding Hood (Expendables). That one's definitely in the wrong place, despite the disambiguation.

Oh, and one quick question! I saw you mentioning that all Marvel comics would go under Marvel (Comics) -- does that apply for already approved tags as well? Because I nominated Venom (Comics) and was really hoping for it to stay separate since it doesn't really have as much crossover as other Marvel titles.

I nominated Disney Princesses - I've done it at other exchanges without issue so I don't see why it's kinda one now? There's far too many nominations under Crossover for me to handle without borderline tearing up in frustration. If it's a problem, I'll just delete my nomination.

Unfortunately it is not eligible for this exchange. Every exchange can have different rules regarding nominations. There are a lot of Crossover (and Original!) relationships however you if copy+paste the relationships into a word doc, each relationship will be on a separate line which can make easier to read.

kandrona @ Ao3, and I nominated Super Sentai. I nominated it this way because the franchise as a whole is what's been in the tagset in previous years, including last year, because the series cross over with each other, and for the slightly selfish reason of allowing myself to request and offer more fandoms than just Super Sentai this year (since if they're separate fandoms, they might just fill up my entire signup).

(I do see that Kamen Rider W was nominated by itself this year, though "Kamen Rider - All Media Types" has also been in the tagset in previous years for the same reason.)

If this is no longer okay, I'll just pick one series.
