I'll be checking all assigned works after the deadline to make sure they meet the minimum requirements, so please make that job easier on me!

Finally, as of now I won't be approving extensions unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Lord, this is a stupid question, but do they need to be posted by midnight tonight or anytime tomorrow? Having some hardware issues, and my story got deleted, and I'm redoing it tonight. :/

If you're not sure how New York time relates to your own time, timeanddate.com has several handy converters.

If you have your AO3 preferences set to your own time, you can also look at the collection profile when logged in:

and the time in YOUR timezone will display in brackets next to the time in EST.

They need to be posted at 11:59pm EST on the 7th. I hope the countdown is helpful in working that when that is for your region!

Please tell me how do I resolve the reveal bug issue? I'm on a totally different time zone than y'all and having a panic attack because I need to get to sleep for early work tomorrow but I don't want to be considered defaulted. I've already had to delete my work twice because it kept showing up.

ETA: I give up. Nothing I've tried has worked. I did do the draft to final with the wait ten minutes and it's still revealing the work. I'm really very upset that the system will consider me has having defaulted even though I've completed my assignment. Please advise.

Not the mod but you should probably send an email to them, specifying your AO3 name and asking for an extention. Or maybe you could coordinate so you could post when the mod's online and they could immediately turn back your work to 'Mystery work'.

If you can tell me when you are about to upload it (with a time, please), then I can be here to either make it invisible or assure you that things are fine. If you wish to default that is a matter for you, but I feel like it may be a better choice to try again.

I absolutely do not wish to default.

I will not be able to upload again until after the deadline as I am literally on my way out the door to work a 10 hour shift with a two hour commute. I'll be able to upload at 7:00AM EST February 8th.

It's difficult for me to say whether your work in particular is fine given that you're anonymous, but I've gone through the last five pages of works uploaded and they are all fine. If you want me to check your work specifically, let me know.

ah sorry, I don't have a dreamwidth acc. I'm iridescentphantasmagoria on AO3, if that helps? I posted a couple of days ago.

Is there any way to go and see for myself whether the work is unrevealed? I don't want to cause unneccessary work for you

The easiest way to be absolutely sure is to logout of AO3 and go to your recipient’s gifts page. If your work is visible to you while you are logged out, it’s been affected by the bug and you should email me the details.
