We came in at 498 signups this year, and there were no people who needed to be contacted to add fandoms/relationship tags! That's really very impressive - well done, everyone!

Assignments should be out now - if there are any problems, please email me at chocolateboxmod[at]gmail. If you have any queries for your recipient, please do not contact them directly; instead contact me so that I can be the intermediary.

Pinch hits should be going out later on today, along with a nifty search engine/spreadsheet.

I just so happened to get a recipient that has two of my offers, and I’m not sure which one is supposed to be my assignment. What do I do? Do I just pick one, or...??

Is there going to be some kind of community challenge? Trick or Treat did that last year and I thought it was a lot of fun and a great motivator to write treats.

We do! It's simpler than the challenge that ToT did, but once the deadline passes a spreadsheet goes out of all persons who turned in their assignment and the number of works that they have gifted. The exchange as a whole tries to move everyone down from one gift to two, and then two to more than two.

I was told that we could search request summaries and 'treat' people outside of our assignments. Um...how do we do this? Do we need to complete our assignment first? Because I found the request summary page but no way to claim or submit.

To treat someone, you just need to post the work on the Archive and make sure you place it in the challenge community, and gift it to the person you wanted to treat.

One way to do it would be:

1. Go to the collection page -
http://archiveofourown.org/collections/ChocolateBox2018
2. Select the Post to Collection button.
3. Fill out the Post New Work form as you normally would for your work.
4. Include the username of the person you want to treat in the "Gift this work to" field.
5. Post as normal. The work will be anonymous/unrevealed just as if you fulfilled an assignment because it's in the collection.

You can also just use "Post New Work" the way you'd publish any work to the Archive, and type in the name of the collection in the "Post to Collections / Challenges" field -
