* Omegaverse - Either Nicholas (due to the stress of his father passing and having to take care of his mother and sister) and Smike (because of the neglect he suffered) are both late-bloomers or Smike's already presented. Either way, Smike ends up an alpha and Nicholas an omega. What I like most about this pairing is how protective Nicholas is of Smike, and how much they care for each other. I'd love to see Nicholas struggle with his designation (or whatever you want to call omegaverse statuses) for a bit because of the terrible things he's heard about being an omega (mostly regarding the heats and loss of control) and wondering how he's going to deal with all that, how his place in society might change, what he's going to tell his family (maybe his mother and sister are betas), what he's going to tell Smike.
* Giving gifts - I just really like the idea of Nicholas giving Smike things, especially useful things (clothes, things to help him walk more easily, etc.) Stuff like jewelry is great too.
* Courtship - This ties in with the gift-giving stuff. I can see Smike worrying over the quality of the things he gives to Nicholas, especially compared to the things Nicholas gets him. He's not that well off, and doesn't want to rely on someone else's money, so he can only afford to get Nicholas small things or things he's made himself. Or maybe he gets a job! But it doesn't pay very well, so he's in the same boat as before. I can honestly see both of them being nervous and maybe a little awkward trying to court each other; Smike's thinking that he's undeserving of someone of Nicholas' status, and Nicholas worrying that he's being overbearing.

The "artifact" arrives a few weeks later, but Ahkmenrah has no idea who it is until Ardeth comes alive that night.

I would love something about how Cliff and Rick met, adventures on a film set, even something like elderly Rick providing DVD commentary on a box set of his Italian films.

I'd love to see Nicholas struggle with his designation (or whatever you want to call omegaverse statuses) for a bit because of the terrible things he's heard about being an omega (mostly regarding the heats and loss of control) and wondering how he's going to deal with all that, how his place in society might change, what he's going to tell his family (maybe his mother and sister are betas), what he's going to tell Smike.

I can honestly see both of them being nervous and maybe a little awkward trying to court each other; Smike's thinking that he's undeserving of someone of Nicholas' status, and Nicholas worrying that he's being overbearing.

Usually I say that canon-typical violence is fine, but OUATIH gets a little more violent at the end than what I tend to enjoy reading.
I would love something about how Cliff and Rick met, adventures on a film set, even something like elderly Rick providing DVD commentary on a box set of his Italian films.
I basically feel about this movie the way Rick feels about his cowboy novel.
