It's been three days since nominations opened and we're already at more than 5,000 tags across more than 800 fandoms!

We have some queries to be addressed so that we can do one last push and finish approving all of the backlogged tags.

Crossover Fandom

• Donald Duck & Daffy Duck - Is this a crossover between the Disney and Warners Bros iterations or something else?
• Emony Dax/Leonard "Bones" McCoy - Which McCoy do you mean?

Historical RPF
This is a very broad category, and encompasses a lot of the other RPF fandoms by definition. Do the other historical RPF people want to go into this category? Or does the nominator wish to split it up into smaller RPF categories?

Marvel Cinematic Universe and Associated Television Shows

• Characters from Agents of Shield, The Defenders, etc etc. - Do you want to nominate them into the Marvel Cinematic Universe or into individual shows?

Superhero Comics (Marvel Comics, DC Comics)
We have nominations for both an overarching fandom (aka "Marvel (Comics)" and "DC Comics") as well as individual titles. How do you want this done?

To me it's just easier to count it all as MCU since the shows take place in the same universe.

I have a preference for having all the comics lumped together just because a huge amount of those characters are not limited to one run or another. Specifying further could be done in a dear author letter maybe?

I'm happy for the relationships to go under the broad "Historical RPF" tag. Or they could be put into "Mongolian History RPF" and "Classical Greece and Rome History & Literature RPF".

I think the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the shows should be kept separate - otherwise, the MCU tag is going to be a mess.

I'd like it if the comics were kept separate, at least the ones that are already approved.

I personally would prefer "Marvel (Comics)" and "DC Comics" because the characters appear in multiple titles so I think it would be easier rather than trying to choose a title. Plus things like the MCU and Arrowverse are under one name so it would make sense for the comics to be as well.

I don't think there's any way to make everybody happy, but I personally would prefer to have comics nominations by individual titles. I know there's going to be characters who appear in more than one and people who are interested in interactions across different comics, but it's not like we don't have the ability to nominate crossovers. Sometimes characters are really different from one run to another, and it's intimidating to think I might sign up offering, idk, Renee Montoya/Kate Kane from Bombshells and get assigned to someone who's only familiar with Detective Comics.

I personally really like the breakdown suggested last post:

- MCU for the movies
- Defenders for the Netflix shows (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke - Cage, Iron Fist, Punisher, Defenders)
The other shows separate

I’m fine with DC nominations being merged as long as they are disambiguated by what they were originally under. In my particular case, I was the that nominated New 52-Present, Kara Zor-El, Jay Garrick and a few others are distinct characters from before New 52 and nothing before that is canon to them.

Hi, somehow the relationship "Ginny Baker/Livan Duarte (Miss Sherlock)" wound up under the fandom "Miss Sherlock (TV)", but Miss Sherlock is a Japanese drama and has no characters by those names. I don't know if someone nominated it as a prank, or what.
