Tagset Issues - MCU and related television shows

The MCU + related TV shows tags are a bit messy! I'd like to fix them up for you, but I'm not sure which way to go with them.

I have two ideas, but I'm willing to listen to others. Which of these (or neither of them) is best for your fandom?:

1. Consolidate the movies and tv shows into one overarching fandom - this would have the advantage of aligning MCU+MCTVU (or some other catchy name for the TV shows) to be like the rest of the tagset. If we go with this, what would you like the tag to be called?
2. Separate the tagset into separate fandoms as proposed by this comment.

I'm not about to sort this out until the tagset closes at 11:59pm EST on the 29th, so there's plenty of time to work out which is better for you guys in the long run.

I think it would be easiest to separate MCU into MCU Movies, Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Agent Carter. That way, the tag list isn't quite so overwhelming.

For instance, I know I personally would only be able to write fic for the movies and Agent Carter. The thought of having to sort through all the possible pairings for all the other tv shows to figure out whether the ones I am interested in offering or receiving are nominated fills me with dread.

I agree with the comment above. Although there is a level of overlapping, it seems easier.

I've nominated some Agents of SHIELD ships under MCU some days ago because I thought that was the way I had to, but looking at how messy the tag set looks now, and since you're asking for our input, I'd rather them moved under Agents of SHIELD, instead. I feel I agree with the guys above me, separating MCU into MCU Movies, Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Agent Carter seems the best way to go.

I agree with the above suggestions for how to break them up! I also just looked through the tagsets for Agent Carter, Jessica Jones, and Daredevil, since I'm familiar with all three shows, and I don't see any tags that are out of place or belong better in another fandom (wellll, maybe "James "Bucky" Barnes & Peggy Carter & Steve Rogers" in Agent Carter, since these are mostly MCU characters -- but it could be there as an intentional crossover relationship). Anyway, I think there is not a whole lot of overlap between them in terms of the pairings that people nominated, and they seem to be fairly separate as fandoms too, in my experience.

I'm in agreement with everyone else. I like when the shows are separate! Mostly cuz I don't want to figure out how to narrow down my offerings if they are all together, but most fests seem to separate them, and it makes sense.

I do like when the 'crossover' ships of sorts end up under both MCU movies and whatever MCU TV show they are crossed with, instead of in the crossover section, since it's the same universe and all, but I'm okay with any decision on that if other people don't agree ;)

All right! I'm rather braindead, having associated the 200+ that I could do, so could I ask you or anyone else who sees this to help me decide where the last six down the bottom should go? Please ignore the disambig tags, as those are literally so that I could break the pre-existing associations AO3 had with the tags so that they would stop appearing in places they really should not be.

Just as a random aside, I nominated two of the SHIELD/MCU ones (Bobbi/Nat and Nat/Skye), and I'm fine with all those just being under MCU and keeping SHIELD strictly tv characters.

I missed that this was happening. I would rather MCU level ships not be called crossovers. It limits one of your requests to crossovers when in fact, you want a fandom that includes a lot of other things you want.

I intended to request MCU, which happened to include TV show characters and movie characters.

Also, some of my noms seemed to have been sorted for MCU or comics incorrectly. Should I post my noms here?

OK, after much hunting, I did find the others, though

for MCU are technically the same thing, so they should probably either both be MCU or both be crossovers.

Also of note, you might want to remove either of these duplicates:

James "Bucky" Barnes/Natasha Romanov (616) OR James "Bucky" Barnes/Natasha Romanova (616)

as they will make matching harder if sign ups differ.
