Keep the MCU and the shows separate. It's easier to keep track of the way it is now and will just be confusing and cluttered if they merge.

Hi~ I was the one who had nominated a bunch of AMT ships for Dangan Ronpa. I just went back and edited it to say Hope's Peak Arc instead!

I'm not the Enoshima Junko/Iruma Miu nominator, but there's only one character named Enoshima Junko in the series. There is however, a bonus mode in NDRV3, where the V3 characters can interact with Hope's Peak characters, so that's probably what they had in mind.

Sorry, I was unclear! To be more precise (though at risk of spoilers) I'm wondering if they mean Enoshima Junko the 53rd (which honestly I'd allow in) or Enoshima Junko from the Hope's Peak Arc (which I would allow into Crossovers but not in NDRV3).

I feel that the MCU and the shows should be separate. While they technically share a universe and the tv shows consider MCU events as canon, the Movies completely ignore Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. canon.
I also agree with the above poster that it would be too confusing and cluttered if they merge.

THIS. It's the same with Daredevil and the other Netflix shows- what happens in the MCU movies affects them, but not vice-versa, so separate just makes more sense.

I have edited "Spencer Reid (Criminal Minds)/Sam Winchester (Supernatural)" into my existing "Crossover Fandom" nomination in case the original nominator doesn't have a free fandom slot for it. Hopefully they were thinking of the same Sam Winchester!

Hello! I think one of my ships was changed.

For The Good Place (TV), I nominated Eleanor Shellstrop/Eleanor Shellstrop (self-cest) and, separately, Eleanor Shellstrop/Real Eleanor Shellstrop | Vicky (a ship between two distinct characters in the canon). My nominations page now shows Eleanor Shellstrop/Real Eleanor Shellstrop | Vicky twice, and the selfcest ship isn't in the tagset.

Assuming self-cest ships are allowed, there any chance I can get the second Eleanor Shellstrop/Real Eleanor Shellstrop | Vicky turned back into the Eleanor Shellstrop self-cest? I'm also happy to nominate it again -- I have other slots open -- but wanted to make sure it wouldn't turn into the Eleanor Shellstrop/Real Eleanor Shellstrop | Vicky ship again if I did.

Kurosaki Hisoka/Tsuzuki Asato are in the tag set for Weiß Kreuz; it's possible someone wants a crossover but they're not in the canon; they're over in the Yami No Matsuei | Descendants of Darkness tagset already.

I'm also another vote for keeping MCU and the shows separate.

I tend to think of the MCU as one giant canon and nominated accordingly, but I'm fine either way. Just a note that if they're split, Ana Jarvis/Edwin Jarvis will need to be moved to Agent Carter from MCU.

My vote re: MCU is pretty selfishly motivated. I would like them kept as one canon because I would find it annoying to have to nominate, request, and offer pairings of characters from the same universe as crossovers.

I'm voting to merge Homestuck and Hiveswap. They share a universe and some characters, and there's enough relationships nominated for each that everyone can stick to the canon they know. Also, I'd really like to be able to nominate Homestuck pairings, Hiveswap pairings, and Homestuck/Hiveswap pairings without spending three fandom slots on it.

Nominator here and yes! AO3 has the fandom listed as Next Avengers without the subtitle (possibly because the continuity also went into the comics for a while) and I just went with the canonical tag. The wikia link above has most of the character names in full when they are clicked on, except for Azari's for some reason. His surname (like Torunn's) is assumed from the names given in their comic appearances. The names were the canonical tags for the characters, so I just went with them.

With Femme!Loki, the actual name for Loki's female form is Lady Loki, which is used on AO3 and by Marvel itself.

My understanding is that Lady Loki was a form that Loki took at various points before the events of Siege, and then there's a series of very complicated (and sad!) events that lead to the third Loki creating a new identity for themselves as the God/Goddess of Stories. The thing is, this is all comics canon, and the comics are in a separate universe to the movies. Therefore I'm not sure if it's meant to be Lady Loki or Goddess of Stories Loki (which would make it a crossover), there's been a time in the movies where Loki was Lady Loki (which would make it eligible in the MCU), or something else (where I will need more information).

I'd prefer all the MCU tags together. Mostly because there are so many TV shows now, and if every single one is separate, then I have to either pick between them or use all my slots on them (not to mention using the crossover fandom slot too since I like to mix and match).

Or, would it maybe be possible to have MCU movies and MCU tv as two categories? Then it's not quite as unwieldy but it also doesn't require having 10 different categories for the TV shows.

i have changed my Dangan Ronpa - AMT nom to Dangan Ronpa (Hope’s Peak Arc) accordingly, thanks for the heads up!

i would lean towards merging Homestuck and Hiveswap, especially since a vast majority of Hiveswap fans will be familiar with Homestuck as well, and in any case there should be enough relationships nommed for both that people can stick to the canon they know, if they don’t know both. they’re very much in the same universe, so it seems silly to split them up.

Please merge Hiveswap and Homestuck! Hiveswap is a child tag of Homestuck anyway. There are some characters who appear in both canons, it would be confusing if they were separated.

Unless by DC TV Shared Universe you actually mean Arrowverse, Gotham, Lucifer etc...?

Another vote for splitting MCU between movies and TV at the very least. In terms of how the fandom handles things, this is the split that makes the most sense to me:
- MCU movies
- Agents of SHIELD
- Agent Carter
- Defenders (including all the Netflix shows)

People might be in more than one of these at once, but my general experience with MCU fandom is that they're usually treated as separate within the fandom (though others might have different experiences).

My experience with MCU is that you have Marvel Cinematic Universe fans who often roll in one or more subfandoms and do it all in the umbrella and you have TV show fans who do more than one show usually but treat them as their own fandoms, with the possible exception of the Netflix shows.

I've always been an umbrella MCU fan and prefer to be able to offer from there, especially if it includes characters from the TV shows I know. I prefer merged fandoms for those who treat it like one canon. I've always liked and preferred the individual TV shows available to those who just want to request/offer those but don't do any requesting/offering in those myself.

At least one RPF ship has snuck into Marvel Cinematic Universe; "Actor Playing Loki/Actor Playing Thor (MCU)" should be "Tom Hiddleston/Chris Hemsworth (Actors RPF)" or similar.
