Eleven hours to go!

Assignments and pinch hits are due at 11:59pm EST today! I won't be really at a computer to do much more than default outstanding assignments, so pinch hits won't go out until probably 6am EST at the earliest.

Additionally, I am in the process of doing up a spreadsheet of each participant's gift list. After the due date has passed, I will be using this spreadsheet to prepare a list that indicates who wrote a story but does not have any treats. If you're interested in helping ensure that everyone who participated in the exchange gets a treat, then keep an eye out for that list!

If you have a hit on your work, the spreadsheet is why. I'm not actually looking at your work; AO3 has a truncated summary of who has written what, and I'm copying the address for each work into the spreadsheet. If you have more than one, I have no idea what is going on there.

Other than that, keeping arting/writing! We're so close to due date, and then reveals!

Sweet!

That's what I thought, but I wanted to make sure.

I'm sorry, I hit the default button and the default confirmation. The story is still up.

I didn't sign up, but I wrote a treat. Am I going to be on your treat list? I don't mind either way, but I wanted to be prepared to offer prompts if they are desired.

If you fulfilled your assignment and have no treat, you are.

Maybe we could have a post at the comm where treat writers who aren't signed up can leave request letters? Like Yuletide did for pinch hitters this year. That way treaters could have a shot at getting treats themselves, but it shouldn't be too much extra mod work?

I like the idea of a post for pinch hitters, but not for random treaters (and I say this as someone who has written treats or pinch hits for multiple exchanges I wasn't signed up for). Writing treats is a fun bonus, and the people who do it are awesome, but it's not the main point. For treaters to ask for treats in return defeats the purpose of an exchange and takes the focus off the participants. If people want to get a gift as part of the exchange, they should sign up. The advantage of just writing treats is that you can cherry-pick your prompts, have the option of writing something under the required length, and not feel pressured because you know your recipient is also getting a main gift. The disadvantage is that you don't get a gift. Just my two cents' worth.

Could we have a "Dear writer, I might be away" post, please?

I like this idea! I've done some treats , so there should be be a few less people on that list.
