I've been asked to suggest image hosting services for shippy fanart. It's not something I've ever considered, so I thought I'd ask the exchange at large.

Which image hosting services allow shippy fanart, including the sexually explicit?

I always use imgur. You can put it to private viewing so only those those that use it can see it. However it also gives you the freedom to share with links and even pre-made html coding.

imgur or postimage. Personally I like the latter better because some countries block out imgur.

Tumblr. Just set the post to private so no one following you sees it, then copy/paste the image url to Ao3.

In my experience, Imgur is good about allowing all manner of images. I've stumbled across actual porn, so they clearly don't censor that much. I also believe it allows for anonymous uploading; if not, or if they've changed that, it's definitely possible to upload onto an account, mark the image as private, and embed it somewhere else.

As long as it's not like, an illegal thing (like an underage pairing or noncon) I'd be happy to host it on my own server. I do that for other people who put graphics in their fics already.
